Kidney stones and urology disorders

I, Dr. Deepak Bolbandi have been treating Kidney stones since last 20 years and I believe that whenever the pain is not tolerable it is better to get rid of stone and holmium laser is the best way to do it. I have been doing laser surgeries since 2002 first time in Bangalore and prior to that in Mumbai I feel that ESWL is waste of time and money for ureteric stones.

I have done more than 2000 PCNLs in Last 10 years and is the preferred choice for Renal stones more than 10mm with the new technique of Chinese PCNL specifically dedicated for small stones.

However I have seen in my practice that once the patient is free of stone he/she will just neglect the importance of annual follow and will have another episode of stone related problem within few years. I strongly recommend patients with stone disease have to be in regular follow up with the urologist.
